Optical illusion land art! When you stand from just the right spot, the landscape looks like a sphere.
The project took 5 days to put together and spans 100 meters!

Went for a stroll in the city today and took some snaps of creative shop displays along the way.

Amazing.

Artist’s description:
I really love Van Gogh’s Starry night painting especially the sky so a couple of weeks ago I decided I wanted to do a tribute to this. I found this image with points of light that looks like stars and thought it would be the perfect one to use.
I printed this picture in the darkroom, bleached the print back for one minute and then scratched away at the emulsion of the image with sandpaper to create the sky and colored it with colored pencils.Posted on June 26, 2011 via filmspiration with 98 notes

I was doing an interview with TPT.org about my MSCED project and I was asked to be prepared to make something ‘on the spot’ during the interview. Halfway through the interview, I still didn’t have an idea. Finally, I noticed the electrical outlets and this idea just came to the surface. I got a marker and just drew these two pigs. The title came quickly after.
